Privacy Policy

Convly Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information and privacy-related information in the application "Sokqa" and its related websites (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Service") provided by us.

Article 1 (Basic Policy: Local-First Principle)

We place the highest priority on protecting user privacy. The Service is developed based on a "local-first" design philosophy. We do not transmit, collect, store, or view the "learning pack data (such as questions, choices, and tags)" that users import, create, or save within the app on servers operated by us. All learning data is stored solely within the user's device.

Article 2 (Information Collected and Method of Collection)

Notwithstanding the principle in the preceding article, we may collect the following information for the purposes of providing, maintaining, protecting, and improving the Service, as well as developing new services.

  1. Information provided directly by the user
    • Email address, name, and details of the inquiry when contacting us.
  2. Information automatically collected through the use of the Service
    • Device information (OS version, device model, etc.)
    • Log information and usage data (number of app launches, crash reports, frequency of use of each feature, etc.)
    • Advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID, etc., *if advertising features are implemented*)
    • IP address
    • Cookies and anonymous IDs (when using related websites)

*These automatically collected pieces of information are not collected in a way that can identify specific individuals and are primarily treated as anonymized statistical data.*

Article 3 (Purpose of Use)

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service.
  2. To measure and analyze the usage status of the Service (access analysis, etc.).
  3. To detect and fix app defects (crashes, etc.).
  4. To respond appropriately to user inquiries.
  5. To address acts that violate the terms and policies related to the Service.
  6. To deliver advertisements within the Service and measure their effectiveness (if introduced in the future).

Article 4 (Use of Information Collection Modules)

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

We will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user's prior consent, except in the following cases or as otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations.

  2. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  3. When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  4. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a person entrusted by them in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of those affairs.

Article 6 (Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

When requested by the user to disclose, correct, add, delete, suspend the use of, or erase their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Disclosure, etc."), we will respond without delay after verifying the user's identity. However, this does not apply if we are not obligated to make such Disclosure, etc., under laws and regulations.

Please note that, as stated in Article 1, we do not retain the learning data stored on the user's device, so it is not subject to Disclosure, etc.

Article 7 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

We may change this Policy as necessary due to changes in laws and regulations or changes in the specifications of the Service.
The revised Privacy Policy shall become effective from the time it is posted within the Service or on our website.
